Kibale Forest National Park is located in Kabarole district, Uganda and is 560 km 2 in size. It is dominated by rain forest vegetation and provides a home to various bird species. It also accomodated various species of primates such as chimpanzees, guereza colobus, olive baboon, Grey-cheeked Mangabey, L'Hoest's gentle ( Blue) and red-tailed Monkeys. You may find interesting sightings of elephants, bush pig and bufallo along the trails.

Activities: The most dominant activity in the park includes Chimp tracking, guided forest walks, even night walks. Bird watching is also dominant. There also exists beautiful scenery as a field of beautiful crater lakes lies between Fort Portal and Kibale Forest. The park offers accomodation facilities, for example, Mantana Luxury Tented camp located in the middle of the forest, and .Ndali Lodge a luxurious thatched cottage overlooking a crater lake.

How to get there: Take the road from Fort Portal to Kamwenge, which commences near the bridge over the Mpanga River in Fort Portal and is well signposted. Turn left at the junction 12 km from Fort Portal and follow signpost for a further 24 km to Kanyanchu Tourist Centre.
