Lake Bogoria Travel
Lake Bogoria is most popular for the hot springs and geysers that are at the central basin of the lake. It is also liked for its scenic beauty and calm. The lake is framed by the bluish hills covered by riverine forests, dry bush and grassland. The shallow alkaline lake has a seasonal attendance of thousands of pink flamingos which give the lake a surreal pink reflection.
The lake is also known for its abundant birdlife with over 135 species recorded here. The avian diversity includes birds like the tawny eagle, swift, little bee-eater, cape pigeon, yellow-billed stork, African spoonbill and augur buzzard .Other activities include walking through the trails and game viewing. There are facilities provided for camping and picnicking too.
Other major attractions include the Reserve's herd of the rare Greater Kudu and other game like buffalo, zebra, cheetah, baboon, warthog, caracal, spotted hyena and many small mammals.
